A message from Jonathan Bailey, Vice President of Operations, Mission Health:

We are very pleased to announce the addition of Gordon Groh, MD, orthopedic surgeon, to Mission Orthopedics, effective May 1, 2016. Dr. Groh will serve as the Medical Director for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Dr. Groh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in treating patients with shoulder, elbow and hand injuries.

Dr. Groh is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where he subsequently completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He later finished his fellowship in shoulder surgery at the University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his hand surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Groh is board certified in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery. Dr. Groh most recently served as an orthopedic surgeon with Blue Ridge Bone & Joint.

Dr. Groh’s academic interests have generated over 50 peer reviewed scientific publications and a textbook on clavicle injuries scheduled for release this year. He is the assistant editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and teaches at numerous national and international forums. Dr. Groh serves as the chief design surgeon for multiple orthopedic shoulder implants and holds patents related to orthopedic shoulder surgery.
